Fall Break Part 2b

Well, Fall Break Part 2 was supposed to be in one blog, but I guess I hit a wrong button or something so the day had to be split into two sections. But hey, that makes it more like a cliff-hanger, right? Make sure you don't read this until you've scrolled down to Fall Break Parts 1 and 2a!

Mission 2: Where were we? Oh yes, the brave soldiers were ready to leave on the next mission to recover weapons that were said to be around the lake. A photographer was there to capture the tense moments.

The families watched as their loved ones took off to face unknown perils but it was only a short time later the soldiers returned with quite a stash of weaponry. Their mission had been accomplished! Excited to show off the array of goods, they leaped from the armored vehicle with excitement. They found machine guns, grenades, compasses, I'm not sure what all, but I am sure that the enemy was now disabled because of our fighting young heroes!

The evening ended with one more trip to the lake and EVERYONE went this time. That meant some had to walk, which is the only way we used to go before advances like the golf car came along. I really wanted to try my hand at taking some sunset silhouette photos...here's a few of my favorites...By the way, my talented sister-in-law took the photo of the five Mitchells! Pretty good, huh?
